Use of locking assemblies in packaging machines

  1. Mounting pulleys: Our locking assemblies provide a secure and safe mounting for pulleys, which are crucial for driving and synchronising the various mechanical components in packaging machines. The precise power transmission ensures smooth and efficient operation of the machines.
  2. Conveying goods: In packaging machines, our locking assemblies are used to fix the various conveyor mechanisms. They ensure that goods are transported reliably and evenly through the machines, increasing the productivity and efficiency of the packaging process.

Use of shrink discs and shaft couplings

  1. Shrink Discs: Shrink Discs are used in packaging machines to connect shafts and hubs without backlash. Their ability to transfer high torque makes them ideal for applications where reliability and stability are key.
  2. Shaft Couplings: Shaft Couplings are used to connect two shafts in packaging machines. They help to reduce vibrations and improve the overall performance of the machines.

Frequently asked questions

For the tolerances of the shaft and hub, we recommend a fit pairing between H6/h6 and H7/g6, depending on the diameter. The recommended surface roughness lies between Rz 10 and Rz 25, depending on the diameter. Exact details can be found in the catalogue. Deviations are possible by agreement.

A larger fit tolerance between the shaft and hub leads to a reduction in the pressure on the shaft. In addition, the tension inside the hub increases. A 3-part shrink disc is best able to compensate for these deviations. Please feel free to contact us with a specific case.

The external clamping elements of type AF are suitable for disc-shaped components such as brake discs, cable sheaves or pulleys. They can also be used to secure couplings. There are three different series that differ in terms of geometry and the loads to be transmitted. Each series offers you three different designs, so that the ideal connection can be found for every application.
