Is it even possible to use a hydraulic shrink disc in a corrosive environment?
For difficult environmental conditions, TAS Schäfer offers various protective measures for hydraulic shrink discs. This ensures a high level of reliability, which is crucial for the safety and efficiency of industrial gearboxes that often operate continuously under extreme conditions. In the paper industry, it is particularly important that certain components are protected against corrosion. For this reason, there are special versions, for example with a nickel-plated piston or coated screws. The important functional surfaces are also protected by design, so that the shrink discs can be used without problems despite corrosive conditions.
